Seriously, how could this not be fun?
JAKE FORGOTTEN
The full-length feature film's official web site is at www.JakeForgotten.com.
I bit of history...
In 2000, I sat down at a typewriter and wrote a book called Jake Forgotten. It was written on an old typewriter. Something about watching the pages go from a stack on my left to typewritten words, stacked on the right of my desk, seemed to just work.
I felt like a writer and like I was writing something interesting.
Later, I rewrote everything, from those typewritten pages, on a Macintosh Cube running OS 9 and some far-away version of Word.
In late 2002, I found an agent.
In 2007, I wrote a screenplay and directed a movie based on the novel.
Ownership
I now own the rights to the book, the screenplay and everything else around Jake Forgotten.
The image on the cover is from the film I wrote and directed. Someday, it will be finished and available to rent, buy, own or use as a decorative lampshade in your garage.
Versions
Below are two versions, one in ePUB format, which looks fantastic in iBooks on an iPad, but less fantastic on a Kindle (although, still readable).
The other version is a PDF document, suitable for viewing on any device. Although, if you want to print it, you'll need a password.
Free?
I am giving out these two versions for free. My assumption is that you will read Jake Forgotten, or not and if you do download either version, you will give me a small donation ($5+ would be nice, as a lot of effort went into writing this novel).

THE FILM
I am still working on the film. From January 2007 until July, we went through pre-production, filming and assembled a rough cut. Since then, I have had the film edited at least three times, by different editors, never really happy with the finished version.
Parts of the source material have appeared in my fxPHD courses and in Mark Christiansen's excellent After Effects book.
I expect to one day finish this film and find a way to distribute it. I believe there is a good story and the actors did a great job, especially on the budget we had (under a million dollars).
Cross your fingers for me.
